looks and that would be a personal thing, keeping in mind you can stain the concrete some real cool colors, even to the point of making it look like marble. they are very durable, and seldom need repairs( indoors). Can be hard to clean. Hard to affix a handrail to. Not too easy to change once it is done. Wood is warmer looking and feeling, wears not as well, but if taken care of can last more than a lifetime, shows character with age, easier to clean, softer if you fall on them, can be painted as well as stained, can change your handrail easier if you wish to change the look of your stairs. Have I covered enough, hope so.
