Boys and Girls alone, Is it natural for parents to wrap boys up in cotton wool more than girls? Why is this?
Well I didn't - my boys washed and ironed their own clothes and could cook a full meal and do any ammount of housework by the time that they were twelve years of age and that is because I taught them that clothes didn't wash and iron themselves or food miraculously appear on the table or the house clean itself right from when they were little.
That was in contrast to the way my brothers were raised (all they ever had to iron were their scout uniforms on a Sunday and that was under my Father's supervision) but I learned from that and made sure that my boys were prepared for the modern world.
