Unless you personally take care of the rotation of the earth around its axis, someone must do the job. Well. The imbecile Stephen Hawking does not believe in God as being necessary to make and run the universe, then, and alas, if Hawking must have refrained from doing the job, being crippled in his chair ,it would be difficult, then someone else must do it.
But, seriously, if you are not the one who ordains such a thing, then who does? Strangely enough, it should not be you, nor your fellow humans who ordain the rotation of the earth, for this rotation has begun some five to six billions of years ago, and you were not there.
If God decides, for one reason or another, seeing His servants being so stupid to understand, or refuse to understand, that He had is the only one capable of creating the earth and spinning it around in its precise dimensions and speed, He ordains the earth to stop.
If this would be the case, then you will be glued to its surface for gravitation would pin you down to its surface. The first thing before is that our planet earth will fall abysmally and infinitely into dark matter like a ball of iron. No end for the shoot !
It would immediately be subject to friction with black matter and it would change, because of the heat of friction, into a falling star, a thunderbolt of fire, like a huge steroid glittering in space.
Life would end for the human race and other races as well mind you, unfortunately. No trace shall be found for the records of you or your wonderful family. You imagine the scene? Or your imagination is concerned with your football team, or your family, or a date with someone, or a TV favorite program, or simply keeping the kettle boiling? Great things to do. After all, why should you be concerned if some one else is doing the job? And do it to perfection.
If you imagination is not so tired and would be able to imagine what would happen? But, if this is shown on the screen, as Hollywood is so good at these science fiction films, then you would perhaps go and see it.
Don't worry, stay calm in your armchair and relaxed, but display the seen in your mind and reflect on the reality of what might happen. If the earth stops turning and does not fall, by a miracle, into dark matter, then night and day would stop. One side of the earth would freeze out while the other would be burnt out, being exposed to the sun.
Those who live on the dark side would have manage to work and sleep in darkness and those on the light side would have to manage to do the same but in the light. But this is not so dramatic. What can be dramatic is that the earth loses its electricity and its magnetic field at one and the same time.
You would go crazy, unless you are on the light side. But your fruit trees and vegetables as well as all other plants would dry out very quickly and you would miss it all, unless you die then you would not miss. The sun would penetrate into the earth's hemisphere and stratosphere to terminate the job. No funerals, for everybody dies.
For your safety and that of another two millions of animal life and millions of flora and other types of life the earth must turn around its axis.
So why be so arrogant and ungrateful to the Power that does it all?
