What are good fresh water middle and bottom swimming fish?

I'm making plans for a 30 gallon fresh water tank and I like middle and bottom swimming fish. I would like to know of some beginner fish that can be easily put together. I'm thinking of having about 7 fish all together plus algae eater who I already have.

Your best bet is to go to the pet store and find the fish that you like best.
