When it comes to small engines, what is the difference between a manual, adjustable, and stationary throttle?
I am looking to buy a small engine with the potential of running it on a go-kart or minibike. I need to know what the differences between the engine throttle types mean for operation in this application. I know the differences between manual and adjustable chokes but not throttles.
Maybe its a silly question, but so far I have not been able to search out an answer, thank you for your time.
A manual throttle would be manually controlled (this means by hand or cable) This is the type you are looking for. An adjustable throttle would be set by a screw, so in order to change speed you would have to use a screwdriver. A stationary throttle will not be adjustable in any way.
