Rear mount turbo or supercharger??
'96 Trans Am. What are the pros and cons of both. My birthday is coming July 29th, and I can't decide which I'd rather have. I'm kind of leaning towards the rear mount. I need all input.
Well, I do not plan to install anything on the motor as it is now, I'm aware of rebuilding the internals etc...but which is better for the car after that it done?
The rear allows for no under hood clearance problems. Several brands out there I like "Procharger" the best. I don't recommend it unless you know you have a strong engine and low miles run low boost 6psi. The cost is $5,500 to $7,0000 plus dyno/tune and if you blow the engine your going to pay for a new engine and a re-install of the Turbo/supercharger again. Check out FC customs.com for several manufactorers

US $202.50
