Remington 870.. HELP!?
okay i love tactical looking guns but i love to hunt pheasant too so if i get a regular Remington 870, 12ga and 28" barrel (not the express) could i put a tactical stock on this gun? also, could i put a tactical foregrip on it as well?
Yep, you could. And it doesn't take much time to swap the stock and forearm back and forth if that's what you'd like to do. It's an easy process if you have the forearm wrench. No sense spending the money on two guns when you only need another forearm and pistol grip stock, especially if money is tight and you don't mind a few minutes of work.
By the stock and forearm at the link below for $60, find a used smooth bore slug barrel for around $75, and have the best of both worlds for less.
The second link is to an ended auction on the forearm nut tool. Long thin needle nose pliers will work too if it's not "too" tight, or make one yourself out of a 1" pipe nipple 5"-6". I cut one out and notched one and it works fine too. It all depends how much money ya have to throw at a project.
