If you could have any combat knife from ww2, witch 1 would you choose and why?
would an infantryman strap on a knife onto his lower leg? if an infantryman has a holster strapped to his thigh, would he have a knife strapped to his lower leg and if so witch leg?
The VF-1 Stilleto, specifically designed for the Devils Brigade, which was the precursor to modern Special Forces. Knives were strapped to the lower calf because in a fight thats where they were trained to draw it from. If they are in Hand to hand combat they are gonna be rolling on the ground anyway so its easy for him to get it while at the same time making it harder for his enemy to take it from him.
