I have THE answer to all of the hullabaloo about the "Universal Health Care Plan", AND the answer to our
Dwindling military force's. The same the country of Switzerland has, AND Switzerland has NEVER been invaded !!!!!
The "Universal Health Care Plan" would work exactly as we have it today, with THE VETERENS health care system, ONLY , ALL AMERICANS MUST serve a minimum of 24 months, in active duty service, then after that 24 months, they go to a yearly one (1) month refresher, combat training course, and THEY KEEP THEIR MILITARY RIFLES FOR LIFE, TO PROTECT THEIR HOMES, FAMILY, AND COUNTRY !!!!
I wager the liberals / leftys / Democrats, do not "cotton" to the idea of having to do military service, themselves.

(1) It's not 24 months, nor one month refresher in Switzerland (could you imagine if our country's GDP were cut by 1/12 so people could take a month off to be in the military? Plus the taxes we'd have to pay to house 1/12 of the nation's (male) population?
It's actually more like 14 weeks, with refresher courses until you get to 1 whole year served.

(2) The swiss model works because (a) they have a history of neutrality, so they don't have to spend money on actually FIGHTING, just training, and (b) they're not invaded because the terrain of the country is too dang hard to invade.

Remember, it's mostly democrats who are urging for a mandatory period of national service (either military or otherwise). If "leftys" don't want to serve, it's because they fear that they'll be called into action for an unncessary, unjust war, not the actual defense of our nation, our allies, or our true national interests.
